I was born in New Orleans, with one foot in India - two locales where hospitality seem to be woven into the fabric of existence. It is for this reason that our group felt so familiar and at home at Naiik. The villa itself is nothing short of magnificent - without complexity. Perfectly simple, open and inviting as it was luxurious, design-forward and comfort-centric. From the way the screen panels seem to disappear into the wall in the blink of an eye to private balconies - each with their own unique view of mother nature's splendor - this home is thoughtful: everything in its place, surprising you with form and function, never excessive. But the true beauty of this place comes from the people who help make it paradise: Diego, Didier, Wilma, Isaias and Barbara. Kind, gracious, ever-present yet never overly so. They have created a new bar that defines hospitality for me. And I couldn't be more thankful, as they made this a memory I won't forget and will always cherish.

We spent five gorgeous days at this magical property and celebrated a big birthday. LOVED the villa! It was stunning. The photos do not do it justice. Totally open to the breezes, minimalist, eco friendly, spacious and elegant with so many clever architectural and functional touches. We were all super impressed. Amazing window system...when fully opened, we basically just had a roof over our heads and the outdoors came inside - fabulous. Always cool from the breezes. Four excellent and beautiful bedrooms of more or less equal size. Good pool area with a fun glass bottom. Very expansive beachfront[...]. Lots of outdoor and indoor venues for lounging, eating and sunning. Both sunrise and sunset views. A really perfect “beach house”.
Staff were great. Friendly but not intrusive, helpful, professional and discreet. Got to practice my Spanish with the butler. He humoured me. Excellent chef. He prepared very healthy and diverse meals so no one gained weight. Butler prepared great drinks so no one lost weight. The menu plan was ready when we arrived and I only changed one dinner. Meals were uniformly excellent, well balanced, delicious, made use of local produce, meats and fish and were very well executed and presented. And the vegetarian options [...] were terrific. The concierge, Barbara, was very helpful and accommodating. She bought groceries, booze, arranged massages and generally took our temperature throughout the week. Nice service.
The beach is very long with hard packed white sand that is perfect for walking and running. Swimming is easy. The entry to the water is shallow and gradual with a sandy bottom which was perfect. The waves were moderate and the undertow was minimal. We had kayaks and some snorkelling equipment which we used every day.
